Mom to Mom of Maine is an organization of diverse mothers devoted to helping each other and the community by sharing support, knowledge, and activities. The group organizes activities for mothers and children, such as field trips, playgroups, and discounted gym times. We provide volunteer opportunities through our community outreach program and in operating the organization itself. Mom to Mom also provides a regular exchange of information concerning parenting and other issues through our monthly meeting, newsletter, and email loop. With more than 300 members, Mom to Mom offers support and companionship in the rewarding and sometimes exhausting work of mothering.

Check us out! Attend a free monthly meeting held at 7pm on the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Dana Center at Maine Medical Center, 22 Bramhall Street, Portland.

Mom to Mom's Mission

We provide opportunities for mothers in the Greater Portland area to come together and talk openly, with the goal of establishing a long-term support network. We strive to help mothers maintain their individuality, creativity, confidence and emotional health.

We believe that parenting is the best—and hardest—job that exists, and we seek to connect moms with the resources and people that provide crucial support. Mom to Mom uses the knowledge and energy of its members in creating programs and services that are helpful.
