When did you join Mom to Mom? Not 100% sure - 2007?

What do you sell? As a lifestyle photographer, I document newborns, children, families, weddings – the moments big and small - I document them, and transform them into art.

How/where do you sell? I photograph on location, but do have access to a studio.  I find that people, especially children, photograph so much better in familiar, and comfortable surroundings - your home, the beach, an ice cream stand, a play space - this allows for me to create an environmental portrait while keeping everyone at ease - much better than the mall, and what surprises many people is that quite often, this personal approach is also more affordable.

Areas covered? I work all over New England, and am hoping for a destination wedding soon - if you have an idea in mind, I'll be there to photograph it!

Do you offer a discount to Mom to Mom members or other special services? If you mention Mom to Mom when booking you will receive $50 off your family session fee, and a bonus print package with a CD order.  Also, I offer portrait parties.  If you gather several friends together and we do a group shoot, each child/family will be photographed individually - everyone, especially the host will benefit.

How did you get started in this business? I started actively photographing the world around me in 10th grade and never stopped.  My M.Ed. is in Literacy Education and I worked as a reading specialist and classroom teacher before having my 2nd child.  When she was born, I knew it was time to give this a full-time go.  I have never regretted it.  While still active in education, I find that my love of children and families transfers easily from the classroom to the camera - people are at ease with me, and I with them.  I also must thank Melissa Suey of Red Sky Leadership (a fellow M2Mer), whose coaching kept me grounded.

What's your favorite product/service that you sell and why? After a great deal of reflection, I chose to offer the digital files of all my images to my clients.  It is important to me that clients have the opportunity to own their digital files, and I make this available to them.  I then encourage my clients to have high quality images made.  I use and recommend The Portland Color Lab, located inside Hunt's Photo and Video - next door to iParty.  A digital file requires careful attention to ensure a lovely print, and they provide them.

A little more about you ... This past year, I have been all-in.  I have a fall chock full of weddings, preschool portraits, family sittings and always, always newborns!  I am so very excited to be fully launched - logo, branding and web-site included - and can't wait to see what the year ahead holds.  I encourage you to contact me, friend Sarah Moore Photography on facebook, and stay tuned for mini-session announcements, regular specials, and photographic tips.  It is an honor to observe the love, respect and laughter we share, and my privilege to show you yourselves, as art.
